Yeah, I've probably said MUCH earlier in this thread about how the wife and I can actually say with a straight face how Loyal Royal fans we are because we suffered through all the dark years from the last WS win in '85. We even have a "Garth and Terri" brick on the concourse up there when they remodeled the stadium. After watching the team built from '09-'13 in person, a real bummer that my failing health caused us to miss out on '14 and '15 in person but still blessed our team won [2] WS in our lifetime and now the Chiefs have won [2] SBs . . . some say the Chiefs are the new dynasty now but hey I'm thrilled with just the 2.

Geez, I need to wake up. Royals broadcasters have been talking about a new pitcher "Harvey" playing simulated games over at the super secret parallel universe field, coming up to the Royals soon, etc. and I thought this was yet another new up-comer pup. He started tonight. It is Matt Harvey stud from the Mets that pitched such a gem thru 8 in game 5 back in 2015, demanded to come out for the 9th, and we lit him up. Now we also lit up the Mets pen after that so the loss was not all his fault. I had not known he had surgery again after that and has struggled since. Did not go long tonight, limiting pitch count, but seems to have pretty good stuff again . . .

We have lost 2 starters AGAIN after finally having all 5 for two whole days week before last so they brought him up a bit ahead of plan.

 

Giants will trade you some starters for relievers...

 

SOLD! Should we give Evans and Moore a call to let 'em know?

We finally got Junis back tonight and he only gave up 2 runs through 6 at SL. Naturally we only have 2 runs at the moment as well.

If Harvey can remain strong, he seems to still have good stuff. He may well take that 5th spot.

 

Got up 5-2 in the 9th and literally allowed SL to walk-off 6-5. 1 hit, 3 walks, and a hit batter. So much for bragging on our pen . . .

 

Dayton Moore must have misunderstood me. I clearly said San "Francisco". He traded our closer to San "Diego" for Olivarez and another player to be named . . .

We don't even know who we else got yet?

Hard to say Dayton does not know what he's doing. He did get us a ring again. But, hard to say my Royals are not already looking at next year.
