I think Evan is doing baseball activities but hasn’t started a rehab assignment and BB is a no effing idea. Neither will be around anytime soon. This bad stretch is all about not hitting with RISP and pitching mistakes since we’ve had more hits. All 3 teams have had similar bad stretches recently along with the domination, our turn I guess.

Only 2 of the 3 loss to Arizona though.

The Nats really suck this series. You’d think a .500 team could win 1 out of 4 at home.

Aaaand only .500 against sub .500 teams. But first is first too, just don’t try and read too much into the stats, they don’t always mean much.

and a good chunk of that was with a huge part of the lineup out due to wu-flu or whatever.

And the status of the other teams? None of it really matters anyway, it’s just win enough to play in October and hope your team is healthy and hot then. Literally anything can happen then and how good you were or who you beat to get there means little other than it’s way more fun to watch than losing. Honestly the Giants weren’t much fun to watch in ‘14 but they squeaked to the second wild card spot and then squeaked that(actually stomped that one) and 3 more series wins. They lost just about as many games as possible and still bring home the trophy while all the other teams that played better along the way had little to show for it but Division titles. Enjoy every win now but words like Juggernaut mean little once the regular season is over.

Sure am glad my Royals not only got Cleveland off their 9 game skid but ALSO, after coming back to tie or take the lead 2 nights in a row, allowed the Indians back to back walk offs.

I take solace in the fact that the first 1/2 is almost over . . .

Looks like Longoria might be back soon after the break and a rehab assignment. He’s up to taking dry swings now. Posey took a foul tip and suffered a bone bruise on his catching hand so they shut him down through the break(I doubt he’ll play in the AS game) and I expect he’ll be wincing at times the rest of the year anyway. Belt should avoid more surgery on the knee and is improving but although he could still play this year I’m guessing it’s several more weeks so sometime in August(they have until Aug 1 to move him to the 60-day and still be eligible to return this year). I think he’s on the 10-day and keeps extending for now. We miss his defense a lot, it gets overlooked but every time you see a first baseman make a poor throw know that Belt would have done it right and there’s nobody better at 3-6-3. Some booted plays and bad throws have already cost us.

I am excited to see what happens during the second half of the season. Hopefully we can get some fresh blood in the playoffs. I'm tired of the Astros and Dodgers every year.

Biggest series of the season so far for Dodgers - Giants. Would be a lot more fun if each team were at full strength. Regardless, looking forward to this set. Hopefully the defense tightens it up.
