Heck of a pitcher, just glad they didn’t make the deal 2 days ago. Now to get by the Astro’s and keep playing good ball. They have to catch us and the lead is back up to 3.

 

Not sure yet what we traded away to get him but it looks like Kris Bryant is now a Giant.

Or Washington. One wonders who’s left to play the game.

 

Plenty of activity this year and lots of surprises. It will be interesting to see at the end of the season, whose trades paid off.

Now we get to see which moves pan out. Cody Ross was a waiver claim, I’ve seen so many big name trades flop that I don’t count on them. It’s more about the front office showing the fans and players confidence and a willingness to compete there to support the team on the field. From here on out I think it boils down to who can get and stay healthy and who can get hot. Fwiw, I think Zaidi did well.
