I don't like the All Star game to determine the home field for the WS. Not sure what is the proper thing for that (maybe best record like so many other sports?) and I know they're trying to draw interest in the All Star game but I just don't like it since maybe 2-3 players will be represent each team that will be in the WS on average.

some of this, a little of that

Agreed, that and players only going an inning or so in the ASG that can have such an impact on the WS.

Hey, I'm no math wizard, clearly, but I don't want my team playing a team from another League that would influence the Division. It's wrong. A change could be made. Change the Divisions. And, I don't want a non 1st place team in the playoffs. Even though my Giants benefited from that format. Finish first, you're in. If not, see ya next year. More Divisional play.

I am a huge fan of base hits and 'small ball' so I enjoyed watching my Bravos play today. I'm not saying we can keep it up all year though. Maybe a sleeper team though. Put the ball in play and make the defense beat you. With strikeouts, like last year, we beat ourselves.

If we are going to lose, I would rather see scrappy players do it than the likes of BJ Upton who doesn't seem to care either way. I like the style of player like Prado. This Jace Peterson kid shapes up to me to be that kind of player. I would rather watch a team like that any day.

I am also happy to see the stadium move. Since the Braves don't own the stadium there is no need to keep dumping money into it year after year. The city refuses to keep up with it, why should the Braves?

I agree. It doesnt make sense when only a couple players from the WS teams actually play in it and it can be a deciding factor in the WS. The best record makes sense. The All Star game should just be for show and something to watch like other sports.

My team is not playing well. But, thanks to the stinking Dodgers, my Giants just swept three from them in SF. That's all a Giants fan needs when the team is not doing well. Just beat the Dodgers. Hopefully, they'll build from this in Colorado.

Rockies swept the Giants in Frisco last week. My hopes are on the Rockies putting it together in Colorado.

Just to be clear, the only Frisco I know of is in Texas. Rockies got one on San Francisco in Colorado. We'll see what happens next. Giants have a nasty habit of leaving runners on base, lately.

If you're a Dodger fan (or really, a serious baseball fan), I highly recommend the book Forever Blue: The True Story of Walter O'Malley and the Dodgers of Brooklyn and Los Angeles by Michael DiAntonio.

Have to check that out ! TBH, was way more into Dodgers (MLB in general) in the O'Malley era. Glad to see Scully still around.

Great book. Basically: O'Malley didn't want to leave, but Tammany Hall's corruption forced it.
