OMG!

G2 is on at 4pm today! I can possibly watch both games today...watching Dodgers at Grottos Sports Bar for first game!

Good morning NLCS watchers!

I sat next to a Mets fan at Grottos and we were both perplexed as to why Dodger starting pitcher was pulled after the first inning.

He gave up a HR to first batter but got out of it with an inning ending double-play...the guy didn't even get a chance to settle in--that was first mistake.

Second mistake came when they walked the same guy who hit the HR and loaded the bases...boom! Grand Slam.

It was early in the game but a 6-0 deficit, even for the Dodgers is quite the challenge...the Mets fan was nervous because he thought the Dodgers would come back.

Runs came easy in G1 because (according to the Mets fan) that starting pitcher was kept in too long and was definitely not the best selection for G1.

We had a good conversation during the game and he was even looking at prices for Wednesday's game...$400/per ticket!!!! WTF?

Anyhow, it's a best of 5 series now with 3 games in NY.

Dodgers just need to win one game to bring it back to LA.

 

Tickets are half the price in LA.

Game 1 was < $200 for a decent seat.

I just might have to go back if they make it to game 6

 

G2 of the ALCS in another 17:35 seconds.

Will Cleveland pull out a win with starting pitcher?

If he gives up a HR but gets out of the inning with just 1 run...leave him in there! lol

 

2016 it was Cookie Carrasco, Trevor Bauer and another starting pitcher going down before or during the playoffs. This year Cleveland without their Cy Young winner Shane Bieber. If they ever go into the playoffs with their starters in one piece they would have a better chance.

OK, CLE pitcher needs to settle in...damage limited to 1 run.

His defense errored once but the right field sliding catch was huge.

 

Dang!

That's a healthy batter with a single to RF.

 

Pitching has nothing to do with that screw up. Cleveland can’t be giving these games away.

Pitcher got out of the inning with 1 earned run.

His defense saved the error.

 

Let's see how CLE pitcher handles the 2nd inning.

 

Welp, CLE pitcher rattled.

 

Yikes!

Rattled enough to force a walk and then...pitcher change.

2-0 NY

 

I stepped away and the damage by NY was another run.

Coulda been worse considering new pitcher had to get 3 outs.

Game is boring

 

One thing that discourages me to watch is a blown opportunity to score.

That was a slow roller.

Kind of a sacrifice advancing the runners.

Borderline pitch called strike to end the inning.

I dislike when they hype up a pinch-hitter and he comes in swinging at first pitch for a pop-out. (Doh!)
