There is an upside to the WS ending in 5. We don’t have to listen to that @sshat John Smoltz spew his constant b*llshit. I could only listen about 2 innings before switching to BT and listening to music while watching.

Back to Basics for the Yankees.

That 5th inning was atrocious.

ESPN Staff Writer Alden Gonzalez summarized it:

The Yankees re-took the lead on Giancarlo Stanton's sac fly in the sixth, but the Dodgers gained their first advantage in the eighth on sacrifice flies by Gavin Lux and Betts."

I was expecting a G6 in LA Friday Night up until the 5th inning.

What an unbelievable ending to a long season for the Dodgers.

Congrats to the 2024 World Series Champions Los Angeles Dodgers.

I'm celebrating on the opposite coast but my heart is in LA.

 

I’m Die hard A’s Fan and the Dodgers ripped my heart out in 88. Growing up in the bay area I couldn’t stand them, but I was rooting for them this year because of the character of the players. I could care less about the Yankees because they have too many rings… I thought it was going back to LA as well. A Game like that Can really gel a team together. The Yankees took their lead for granted, Soto Said in the locker room post game, he’s available to all 30 teams.. Not a good look for a Yankee

 

Yeah, they ain't no 2004 Boston Red Sox..

Really didn’t have a dog in the fight after the Cleveland Baseball Club (they’re still the Indians to me) were knocked out. But Soto and his BS antics were one of the main reasons I was rooting for the Dodgers. This years WS to me was cheering for the lesser of two evils. Towards the end I was almost feeling sorry for AJ.

 

I was 2 years in the USAF as an Active Duty Airman stationed at Williams AFB, AZ in 1988.

That was a memorable WS experience with Kirk Gibson smacking that HR. I think Freeman doesn't like the comparison because "he played the whole game." lol

There were memorable players on that roster and of course pitching was a key factor in that series.

I went to my first Dodgers game when I was 10 years old in 1976...so it's been quite the experience in my life.

I'll get my WS Hoodie & Baseball Cap and celebrate for a year.

Doesn't sound like Soto wants to stay in NY.
