I had the cards going all the way on my bracket. So, thanks Matheny..... But I have to admit, a world series game between the Astros and Cubbies would be pretty fun to watch.

 

Agreed. Whenever my team doesn't make it (which is most of the time, except recently) I always root for the team that's never been there, or hasn't for many years. So, it would be cubbies, 'stros for me. With the Astros being the team I'd like to see win. It's become such a tradition for the Cubs to lose I'd almost hate to see that streak end.

 

Cubs/Astros would be an amazing Series. Id love for the cubs to win.

True! The goofy call from the catchers ' throw that hit Choo. Then the 3 errors from the Rangers. Unbelievable. The fans were going nuts.

 

Well, I'm disappointed my Astros are out, but when your first season above .500 in 8 years involves giving one of the best teams in the MLB a good fight in the playoffs, you done good.

Tweak the rotation a little and try to get more consistent with the bats and these guys could be scary next year. I'm rooting for the Cubs now, just because I want Back To The Future to be prophetic.

 

For a city that got screwed out of a championship in 1993 by questionable officiating (and we have been shit since) - we are alittle on edge. While i don't condone the throwing of stuff on the field - tempers were flaring and i'm glad it didn't get any worse than that. However, in New York, throwing crap on the field is just a regular day.

However, the baseball gods came through. What a slam by joey-bats.

No, unfortunately it wasn't that much on opening. I think opening day was 100/1. When I got my bet in it was 19/1. So I'll have a nice chunk of change.

No. I spend 100 to see if they'd win. I had 100 from another bet, so it isn't really a "loss" to me at this point. I don't take the insurance at a blackjack table either...
