It's another wet start to a race weekend in Philip Island. Lorenzo took a test lap on the M1 and ended up swimming. Course Officials heard him muttering something about "Bodhi and the Humuga Kowabunga from Down Unda." Lorenzo finally came out for the Course Officials after calling him Johnny Utah, per his wishes. Yamaha commented "Lorenzo will not be allowed to touch the M1 again, no matter how much he begs." Screenshot_20221014-094530~2.jpg

Would not come out with that outcome if I'd roll dice.

Damn, that was an exciting race to watch! Gotta love it when there's that many bikes so close to the leader at the end of a race.

Philip Island... Wow, what a gorgeous and excellent layout for a race track. If there was one track I could do some laps on, even if only parade lap pace, this would be it.

Rumor- "Divebomb" Daryn Binder stepping down to Moto2 with a Husqvarna ride? KTM owns Husqvarna right as well as Gas-Gas? Sales must be well. And I just found this out this year that all Moto2 bikes run Triumph 675 engines but factory chassis to keep an even playing field. Interesting.

As much as I love Fabio I really have my fingers crossed for Pecco and Ducati. I just love a come from behind underdog story. This last race is going to be a nailbiter.

Both Pecco and Fabio rode a great race. I give more credit to Fabio making that subpar machine go like he did, AND with a broken finger.

I'm a never say never kinda guy. But the stars have got to align and strobe in synchronicity for Fabio to pull it off. Best of luck to both these guys in the last race.

I feel for Bastianini, giving up 5 points and jeopardizing his opportunity to make a solid 3rd overall. Totally "taking one for the team".

The sprint races next year will be an interesting twist on the season. I can't believe we're already coming to the last race of the year....

Pecco 258 Fabio 235. It's going to take an act of god...

Yep. Honestly, I'm surprised Fabio held on for so long. If Ducati didn't have that new engine debacle early in the season, this wouldn't even be close. I was expecting Ducati to have the rider championship with 4 races left. Fabio has definitely given them some hell this season and made them work for it.

That was the safest qualifying I've ever seen. Pecco is going to get behind Fabio and cruise his way to the title. As long as he makes it through the first turn it's all his.

Quartararo NEEDS to win. I think Bastianini is going to give him a run for the win tomorrow. Maybe even Miller in the mix. Bagnaia just needs to be smart and keep it upright, even with a simple 13th place finish. You can bet Quartararo is gonna ride the ride of his life tomorrow.

Marquez, home track and crowd.... Think he's gonna make an impact? I'm thinking a 4th or 5th for him.

Brainfart. That was supposed to be Martin, not Bastianini.

I think after the 4th or 5th time Bagnaia passed Quartararo, his dash probably was blinking:

    WTF ARE YOU DOING???

    lol...

Wow, he did it! Happy for Pecco and Ducati. Sad to see Suzuki go. I hope they put a big bow on those bikes and deliver them to Rins and Mir.

In other news, you guys see the new RC213V?

Crazy Suckzuki's are pulling out of Moto GP. To be honest we all know none of those
bikes have anything to do what the normal guy can buy and ride. Those Moto GP bikes
are like a $1,000,000 bucks to build. Gotta be a pretty expensive bill to run a season of
    Moto GP. :bikewheelie2:

According to Dani Pedrosa, it costs approximately 30 to 40 million dollars to run 2 bikes through a season.

Damn, man! Helluva first post! Hate to hear that but glad you're still around to post about it. In my 20+ years of riding, I've lost a few friends. Motorcycles are not very forgiving machines.

So I ran moto2 it was 10,000 a race! Without Repsol and Honda paying for me. I could only do a race a year. The one race I did do that I paid for was when it was in Indy and I got noticed and picked up by a team for doing close to 150 on the straight away towards turn 4.
