I think everyone learned their lesson after the carnage of "going full tilt" in the opening sprint races of yesteryear. Good to see that not repeat. I was really bummed to see DiGio not finish.

When it comes to Honda and Yamaha, I only feel bad for their riders. The writing has been on the wall for years. Ducati knows it all to well. Glad Marc got off that potato this year. Let's hope Quartararo does the same.

Looking forward to watching the full length race today. Hopefully there's some battles with good passes.

Nice opener! This Acosta kid is going to be a top contender once he learns tire management. Still feeling bad for Honda and Yamaha.

Pitlane Pedro done BEEN that guy! He's been exciting to watch rise through the ranks. I'm sure he's learning that tire management on the big bike is a different animal.

Nice to see that racing was on TNT(?) when I got home last night. I think a lot of guys are going to be out of jobs at the end of the season.

Ducati should give Morbidelli’s ‘24 to Marq!

Good racing this weekend. I feel for Vinales and Bagnaia today.

Looking forward to COTA, where MM93 typically dominates. Should be a good tell for the future.

I was surprised Acosta's tires held on like they did. That kid rode hard and found the limits more than once. Impressive.

Great racing at a great track, I agree.

After watching it several times, looks like Pecco was too blame??

Acosta sliding that front like it was the last race for the championship. Good Stuff.

As for the Pecco and Marc crash, there's a clear person in the wrong. Here's how I see it.

Clearly, Marc had a slightly better pace at that point in the race than Pecco. However, Pecco was not making mistakes, leaving an opportunity for Marc to take advantage of. Knowing this, Marc went off the race line up the inside. In doing so, apexing early and running a bit wide on the brakes. Marc knew Pecco was on line and would be getting on the gas faster and inevitably passing him back. Knowing this, Marc made an overly aggressive move to go from being wide to jumping on the race line to try and block Pecco from regaining the position. Clearly, it didn't end well for him or Pecco.

Pecco was on the race line the entire time and did nothing wrong. Marc made an aggressive move and couldn't turn the bike soon enough to get back on the race line. Had he done that, it would have been a great pass. But because Pecco was carrying good entry speed, Marc had to go a shade too fast to make the pass and went wide. Knowing Pecco was coming, he should have just held his slightly wider line to come back on the race line to avoid possible collision. But, Marquez, aggressive riding, boom. It's the reason he has significantly more "incidents" than everyone else.

I like Marc, he brings excitement to the races and he is a MotoGP Legend. But when I watch a video of Marc and Pecco's thoughts on the crash, and Marc tried to say Pecco was struggling and Pecco caused the crash, it pisses me off. He knows he's at fault. Just own up to it. It's his personality that I don't like. He's not going to admit taking out the defending champion that's neck and neck for the lead. That would make him look bad, so double down...

Poor Miller. Great starter, better jumper, but can't keep the pace. Can I just say, WTF Honda? You've gone from ^ to v. That's a hard pill to swallow.

The thing with Marc is the dude is a 8 time champion, and that ego tags along no matter what. His arm was put back together in such a fucked up way, even though they gave him back the 30° rotation, now he’s having to learn how to ride again, or perhaps in a different style. When he was racing Lorenzo, Marc was a mad man. “He rides the bike like a chicken without a head” were Lorenzo’s words during a press. Dude’s got massive balls. But he aint young anymore like Acosta. Balls to the wall no matter what.

I felt when Marc went wide and stood his bike up, Pecco should have done the same. I’ve seen it done many many times in duels.

Pecco just has to be Pecco. No doubt he’ll be up front fighting Martin next time.

    Huge disappointment with Binder also.

Kid rips that bike around like he is racing super moto. Definitely not afraid of the bike getting loose. I get tired of watching these guys sticking their leg out. Bruh this ain’t motocross on dirt. Keep both feet on the pegs. :bikewheelie2:

^^^Actually a catamaran effect. The gyroscopic effect of the bike doesn't want it to lean and when you weigh a buck twenty it can be difficult to get it to turn. Or so I hear. Fat guy talking...

I am soooooooooooooooooo happy I found this thread! Been a MotoGp for for many years (I remember the 2 stroke era). It goes along with the fact that my gf and I have finally got streaming that shows most of the races now. Definite dead spot when we didn't have it!

Acosta: Holy shit what a talent
MM: I have always disliked his style. He takes rubbing is racing to a whole different level
Pecco: He's good. I mean 2 championships don't get handed to ya, but meh
It'll be interesting to see what comes outta the "incident" in Portugal

And full disclosure, I'm a Ducati guy (bought my first in '99) so I root for em most of the time. That being said, I love the racing more than the brand!

Anybody going to CoA? I keep hoping they have a ticket, hotel, air, yadda yadda package. Rewatched last year. Everybody crashed. Either master the S-turns ans T-1 or hope everyone else crashes. Can the GasGas kid do it? Is Quarteraro worth $12m?

I'm bummed that Quartararo resigned for Yamaha. Money > Championships
    Everyone has a price.

Looking forward to seeing if Marc is still the King of COTA. I expect a podium from him.

Anyone know if anything was done to smooth the bumpy sections of track yet? Lots of riders were complaining about it last I recall.

The talk of Pramac switching to Yamaha next year has my head swimming. What promises are Yamaha making to have Pramac and FQ20 backing them? (possibly) I know there is real talk on the bikes going down to 850's starting in 2025 but I also read that with a smaller engine comes a lighter bike equaling as much or more horsepower than the current bike. Could this bring Honda and Yamaha back to the podium?
