I don't think that I shared this OK sunset from the other day.

Yes they did - it was hard to tell the ATV trails from the full sized trails until you got in them. We only explored part of the back part of the park (and found the bluffs overlooking the Arkansas river/ navigation channel - there is a railroad track at the base of the bluffs) - there more to explore but we had to head back for McCoey's bedtime.

The park is off of OK 10 highway before braggs Ok and Camp Gruber. Take the Muskogee turnpike to US 62 E toward Fort Gibson (across the Navigation channel). Take a right where OK 10 Y's off and follow that till you reach the park. About an hour from Broken Arrow. There are some primitive campsites at the beginning of the park.

Good deal. I may have to take a short trip there and check it out.

Looks like you got a nice dig in the mud with your winch.

My dad is interested in checking that out. I've never been there, just seen the signs for it when out on a job near the panhandle.

Oh yes. Been there many a time, but never in a vehicle. I've been with my dirt bike, and with others with 4-wheelers and rzrs.

It's a blast. I wouldn't imagine our trucks would be too much fun out there unless it was after a little rain. It's some pretty dang soft sand if it's warm and dry.

That I did - only time really the winch was a hinderance - I might have it through mud hole with out stopping. 'Course sliders might have kept me off the passenger side of the truck. Luckily the side was just thick mud. I'd be in for a return visit. There are some rock ledges at the beginning for the crawlers -

OK 10 is a pretty drive as you start winding your way up into the hills - the park is about 10 min from where you turn off of US 62.

How did it do? You take it on any of the buggy trails, or just piddling around the dunes?
