Remember Sean, the plastic dip can peel right off or you can use your own emblem if it didn't get cracked. Still haven't ordered my bright orange can. :)

Yep, I figured while my truck was in the shop I'd get going on making me a new grill.

Woot woot! I got my Mobius dash cam in. This thing is actually really impressive. A huge support base, decent settings program (and an app too for android), and pretty well design. Even has three lenses now. I'm impressed. And most desirable trait, it's pretty dang small.

They even have battery swaps for dash cams. You can put a capacitor in it instead so you don't have to worry about high temps in the OK heat destroying the battery and leaking acid.

By the way... Andrew, how do you have yours plugged in? I know you have one of these guys. Are you just using the USB port under the stereo?

I don't have it installed in the truck yet. It's currently acting as a spy camera in the office until lunch. 34b117dc6938f2500c8bfb4f54b1d6f8_007e9a5d3e828098776ccd1fe3eb9ee7425ed2c2.jpg

Hey, I didn't see this post until after I replied to the pictures. I wanted to hardwire mine, so I didn't use the cigarette plug under the AC controls. I wired a 12v plug in the drivers side kick panel using an add a circuit, then ran the wires through the A pillar. I bought the capacitor by the way, and love it.

Ahh, I got ya. I'll probably look into this in the future. Right now I'm looking at just routing it to the usb.

You added a 12v plug? I thought the camera needed no more than 5v?

If I'm free, we can have a dash cam install party haha. Here's the write-up I used to power the camera:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/au...am-genius-dvr-fhd590-installation-review.html

As far as the 12V vs 5V thing, I think the USB 12V adapter provided with the camera should reduce the voltage adequately. On a side note, I ordered the dash cam kit with my camera, so it already came with the wide angle lens and the suction mount. I bought the capacitor separately (which shipping took forever from China), and I also bought a lower profile mount using a 3M pad. The suction mount worked great, but it wasn't as hidden as I would've liked.

I have a Vaas dash cam. I bought it for $40 so it's nothing special but it does what it should and I like it lol.

I wish I had mine recording when I spun out on the ice. I'd love to watch it cause it happened so fast and I don't really remember it.
