Those Duck Commander Tires don't look too bad. I had a set of Coopers and loved them.

Cool. I could come get it today or tomorrow. I'm assuming you are somewhere around Tulsa.

Anyone thought about the overland expo east this year? It's the beginning of October. Shane, you went to West one right? You do any classes or anything while you were there? I think I'll eventually make it to both East and West. They are about the same drive either way, but East may have a lot more to see along the way, and more excursions.

Went to the dealership today see if they had any 3rd gens yet, they didn't said by next week they should. I thought it was funny when they said not much has changed from the 2nd to the 3rd as far as looks. Put them side by side and you can see a big difference.

I might be interested in going. I wanted to do some more wheeling trips and I ended up working a lot of over time this year. Which I think I will end up buying a front bumper with a winch and more skids. So I'm kind of pumped about that. I really wanted to run the K trail however I have heard the trial have lots of nail strips placed on it.

Sean, the link that Walt posted. That's not what I was thinking of for the portable cb. That is compact! I like that option. Can you communicate with cbs and other handheldwalkies?

Yeah you can disconnect it and use the battery pack as a mobile unit.

I don't know much about radios. So I guess you would just tune the fire stick to cb frequencies, and the stubby to handhelds (non cbs)

The handheld didn't need to be tuned when I used it. I tuned the cb while wired in with my firestick.

Those are good thoughts Sean about the portability while spotting - How long does a set of batteries last roughly?

There is a CB shop on I-44 headed towards Catoosa. They do SWR turning for 10 or 15 bucks. You do have to have antenna plug from the CB accessible. FYI

Good to know - When I get the setup together I'll check them out.
