Boomer Sooner and so glad they beat Texass! Unfortunately, OU doesn't make the final four and Tua wins the Heisman. Not trying to be negative, that's just my prediction.

Not an OU fan but don't see how they can be shut out of the CFP. We'll see.

It’s a lake about 6 or 7 miles north of Chattanooga. They have some trails, maybe a mile or two, but nothing to challeging. I do a lot of duck hunting there. They have camp grounds with pavilions and other stuff. Nobody really goes out there, so it stay super quiet. Maybe run into some jeeps or other hunters sometimes, but you will definitely run into the game warden out there as he lives there, but he is a super nice guy.

What’s everyone running for comm’s? I installed a CB in my truck, now just waiting on the antenna, antenna mount, and coax cable to come in before I get it up and running.

Would love to also run HAM, but not sure when I will be able to get the test done.

Not sure how much use I’ll get out of mine either. Do you monitor it regularly, or is turned off most of the time? I plan to keep mine on most of the time, but depends on what kind of traffic I pick up on it.

I was running one for a while. Most the chatter I heard was Mexican truckers and maybe some oilfield truckers running together. Nobody else I knew had one as I mostly wheel alone so I ended up taking it out.

This is what a couple of us run over here, but they're weak on power output so we lose touch sometimes in the mountains and less than 1/2 mile distant. But they are decent for line of sight exchanges and cheap.

I turn on sometimes on interstate runs, but yeh not too much interesting to listen too and really need an external speaker. Mostly turn it on only for traffic / wreck updates.

What antenna are you running? CB is limited to 4 watts, so really the antenna should be the only thing that’s makes a difference in range.

I ordered a 3’ firestik for mine. I don’t really care to reach out miles and miles, but would like to be able to maintain contact with a group hopefully.

I've got the 4' FS. Buddy has the 3' and you can tell the difference.
