I would say a few can trash a place up real quick, as opposed to a lot doing it. Just go into any teenagers room. It will look like 10 people have been living in it. Only takes a handful.

Yeah I hear ya, but there's a difference in peoples' mentality here vs somewhere like CO. Too many folks just don't care. It's sad. It's not that hard to pick up after yourself, it's really not.

I hunt and hike a lot of Public land here and I cannot believe how much junk people leave behind.

I picked up a few stray pieces at Sandy Sanders. It was otherwise pristine. That crossing, though, would've taken all day at least. Probably pay for gas on the cans alone.

So many inconsiderate assholes. We just got to our COE campsite and were greeted, once again, by an oil slick on the pad and cigarette butts and dog poop everywhere around our campsite. I had to go to the COE office to get oil absorbent to spread on the mess. They should just ban Ford's, Chevy's, and Rams from the parks, lol. And otherwise a gorgeous park.

Last time I went to Goose Island on Oolagah it looked like they were starting a landfill. And when I last went to the Okmulgee WMA there was trash and uncollected plies of shotgun shells everywhere.

Thanks, rant over. I feel better.

Went out to Crossbar yesterday with a friend who had a lifted Jeep. He was impressed with how capable my stock Pro was.

I've been seeing the posts about crossbar trips, I'll have to look into that weekend camp. I've wanted to check out sandy sanders and I got pre-approval from my wife (we have two kids don't make fun of my old ass) to go camp that weekend.

I'd love to trade my 2013 in for a Pro, but the damn thing wont die. Plus, i have to save up for my Chevelle fund, lol.

Side note, i have had 3 different Wranglers, 1 YJ and two TJ's. I loved them too, but damn did i have to work on them a hell of a lot more. I've hardly had to do shit to my Tacoma and most if not all of it was caused by me, lol.

#1 reason I originally bought a Tacoma I was absolutely burned out on having to constantly fix shit on my Chevies and Jeep I have owned. I love the confidence I have that my truck won't leave me stranded like I had been many times in the past. I don't plan on extreme rock crawling, so I don't care if it's technically less-capable than a built Wrangler.
The guy I was with tried to go up Rock Face with his Wrangler, but it was too wet. No way I'll attempt that in the Taco.

I probably would have kept my '13 if it wasn't for this damn Army Green lol. Also I wanted the extra features from the Off Road (locker, traction control, etc). That '13 had 100k miles on it with absolutely zero-faults. Funny enough, I just got a letter from Post Oak offering me $23k for it lmao

My high school gf's dad had a '69 Chevelle. That thing was awesome. He would stand it up on the rear wheels when at traffic lights lol

68 or 69 will be there year i have to get. I almost got one when i was 16, eons ago, but it didnt work out. I've wanted one ever since. Wife, kids, and life have prevented that thus far, lol...

My 13 Taco has over 150k and never really had to mess with it. It does have the chirping throw out bearing the 2nd gens are known for, but doesnt bother me enough to do anything about it. Its not that loud or annoying. But if i was offered 23k, it would be hard to turn down a 3rd gen stick shift. Way i understand it, they corrected the TOB issue. But i would prefer it with a 4.0, lol.

I've taken my first gen Taco up rock face. The key for me is to keep high to the right side and just let the tires slowly dry out and stop slipping. From start to finish I bet it takes me 2-3 min to get up the face. Slower than some but I won't need to worry about putting it on its side and sliding down. Air down the tires to about 18psi and turn on the stock rear locker and it's a pretty capable truck. I mainly use it to flat tow my TJ to the wheeling spots. If I didn't have such a large rear overhang with the bed I would probably wheel the Taco a little more too. Well that, and I actually give a shit about the Taco.

Hey all! My names Hayden and I’m moving to Wichita Falls mid July from Colorado (yes Texas, but it’s in between DFW and OKC). Looking forward to getting to know some of y’all! Here’s the most recent photo of my truck in Moab. Currently sitting on 35s and have plans for at a tune, and new rear long travel setup. S/C may be in the works the next couple years

Done by me: decals, plastidip, and vinyl. More to come. Not done by me: Icon front/rear suspension; Total Chaos UCA’s; Method wheels/34” Falken tires; Prinsu cab rack/LED light bar; V1Air compressor piped to a 2.5 gallon underbed tank; Pelfreybilt front/rear bumpers; Smittybilt front winch.
Found the Okie forum finally! Just got my new to me Taco a little over a week ago, but I’ve drove Tacos ever since I moved here in 2010. Started out in Turley, but now I live between Owasso/Claremore. Good to be here in the group, can’t wait to take this one out some!
