    It was very family friendly. There are apparently two camping areas. The one "to the left" of the entrance is the family/quiet area. The area "to the right" in the field was the party zone.

    TONS of stuff was given away in the raffle. Like 3 or 5 winches, even. It was nuts and went on for like 2 hours lol. They handed out a lot of stuff for the kids. idk how old yours are, but they had an activities tent for young children with games and toys.

    We should get an Oklahoma group camped up together next year.

    Have a 1, 5, and 11 year old. Probably would just be me and the 11 year old. Maybe the 5 year old. May be more interested in wheeling with our Honda Pioneer or bring our Honda Bikes. Trucks kinda modest. Just a Pro setup with bags, aal, and a winch. Its a daily that gets 70 miles plus per day, so have to keep it mild. Take it there wasnt many travel trailer spots? We just have a small 17ish foot.

    There were rigs of every sort present. Subarus, dual sport bikes, classic Land Cruisers, etc. Your Pro is way more modded than mine. I just have 33s and sliders. Did just fine on the "Moderate" trails.

    There were lots of trailers of all sizes and even several full RVs there. It was just crowded by 1130 Friday when we arrived. We're planning on coming in on Thursday next time.

    This seems to be the most active regional forum. I'm looking at disbursed camping options 4ish hours west of Durant.

    Has anyone here been to Black Kettle National Grasslands? Looking at it for disbursed camping options but haven't found much information about the area.

    Is it a decent area or should I be looking somewhere else?

    I don't have any experience camping out that way myself.

    That side of the state is fairly sparse in terms of public lands, and even fewer allow unregulated camping. Check the iOverlander app, there may be places nearby marked by other travelers. Bear in mind that any Wildlife Management Areas require a hunting license and may be closed to non-hunting activity during the on-going hunting season.
