Mario was my sales man for my 4runner as well I agree with everything you just said. And the deal that they have going on with the Honda generator and lawn mower right now is pretty cool too.

For you guys that had Tacomas during the snow storm of 2011, what tires were you running and how did they perform?

I'm about at the point where I need to replace the original BFG Rugged Fails, and am looking at options. I'd like to go with the Goodyear Duratracs, but I put over 35,000 miles a year on my truck and need them to last a couple years. In which case I'm thinking about BFG TA KOs, or possibly some other tire.

fww the winter before last when we got several heavy snows, i didnt have my tacoma but i had an 04 f150 with bald rugged trails, i got duratracs in between storms. Not really comparing apples to apples, but i thought there was a huge diffence. Our fj has bfg at's with 48k miles and 40-50% tread left so i think they hold up well.. Last winter we didnt have much snow in ponca but i had terra grapplers on my tacoma and it got around fine. just my 2 cents

The Terra grapplers are probably my third choice. Not as aggressive as the DT or TA KOs, but should be a decent combination of on-road and off road/winter weather performance, and a little less expensive than the others.

I live out in the boondocks and work in Downtown Tulsa, and I have a mission critical job so I have to get to work. During the snow storm of 2011, I stayed in town at a friend's house and then got a hotel room down the street. But we had guys sleeping in the building. When I was finally able to get home, I wasn't able to get out the next day. (That was when I was driving my Buick and I got the Tacoma to not have to worry about being able to work or back home).

I was running the Hankook Dynapro ATM. I don't remember how much snow we got, but I didn't have a problem getting anywhere I needed.

I think I had my michellin LTX ms/2's at that point, and they ran like a champ. But, I do recall hitting some snow with those Geolander AT's I had too...They were comparable.

Also have had good luck with the BFG AT on a friends vehicle.

Have the deal I'm going to do. Gotta take it to the wife tonight to get final approval :X

    Pending that:

    2012 Leftover
    Access Cab
    TRD Sport + sr5 package
    White
    Graphite interior

Has a few extras like floor mats and what not.

Brand new :X 27,900 is truck price, not including TTL.

If the wife 86's the deal, I'll wait awhile to look again because this deal feels pretty good and I don't know that I'll beat it.

27,900 seems kinda high for an access cab...could be just me though. sticker on the 2011 double cab sport was 28ish.

    Super White FTW!

It does seem like the prices have gone up over the past couple of Years. FWIW I payed$23,513 + TTL for my truck at the end of 2008.

Unfortunately, that's about the best deal I've been able to get through anyone around here. The trucks have just gone up in price over the last few years I guess. I paid around $25k for my DC back in 2008. I'm not sure if it's the economy, or good rep on the trucks or what, but that's the ballpark I'm in anyway so I guess I've got to learn to play there.
