To my knowledge the Por 15 product doesn't come in flat black for chassis coating. Just high and semi gloss. I want to coat my frame but keep it looking factory. I bought some semi gloss thinking it would be good but its way to glossy for my liking. My question is, has anyone used Por 15 high temp coating in flat black on their frame? It says it cures the hardest after exposed to 300 degrees or more for a short period of time. It will never get that hot on the frame of course but wondered if that would be smart or not. I just want a flat black on the frame.

Personally I wound use the regular. Por says you Shound put a top coat on it. So you can rattle can on a flat or semi gloss.

For the top coat por15 I am not seeing a flat black but maybe the chassis black will be duller than the semi gloss. Im trying to stay away from the rattle cans so I can brush it on and not have to mask everything off and get spray on everything. Maybe apply the regular first and then top coat of chassis black? :notsure:

From what I understood of por 15 is that it wants another paint applied on top of the por15. Por 15 will brake down in sunlight so by applying another painting top of it encapulslated the por and protects it more

I typically a layer of paint over POR15, like a flat black. Held up great so far...
