    Hello everyone.

I am hoping to get some opinions on if you think this is a good deal I am being offered on a 2016 Limited RWD Tacoma (Black).

    Retail Price: $36.998
    Sales Price: $34,662
    Savings: $2,336
    Accessories: $0
    Service Contract: $0
    GAP: $0
    Government Fees: $16
    Proc/Doc Fees: $678.50
    Total Sales Price: $35,340.50

    Total Taxes: $2,500
    Trade Allowance: $0

    Total Out Door Price: $37856.50

Do you think this is a good price on this 2016 Limited RWD Tacoma?

I feel the sales price of $34,662 is pretty good but I'm not loving the $678 proc/doc fee. Is that fee always there on top of the price or would you ask them to come off of that as well?

I live in TN and looking to buy this vehicle in Alabama since no TN dealers have this exact Limited in Black.

    Thanks!

    thats a good deal.

there's only 8.0% gp in tacoma's and they can easily sell that truck any time locally.

remember to ask them to state when it was PDI'd and to grease that u-joint thing everyones talking about and to do the tranny flash. get it all done prior to delivery because the local dealers give priority to buying service clients.

Never priced the RWD version of these, but about 8 weeks ago when I bought my 4x4 SR5, all the Limited 4x4 where in the 41-44K mark before TTL. No deals/sales on them.

    What options are on it?
    What's the invoice pricing?
And why not ask a local dealer to acquire one for you?

Nobody can tell you if it's a good deal, because you haven't told us what the truck is.

I just bought a Limited in Black from AutoNation on Thornton Rd in Atlanta (Lithia Springs). Mine is a 4x4 with a MSRP of $42K. I paid $37K for it...plus taxes, of course. So, that's a little over 12% off list. That dealer had a 4x2 on the lot when I got mine...in black. If interested, and they still have one on the lot, PM me and I'll give you my salesman's name. I've already sent someone else there and they bought a black Limited just like mine for the same price.

Edit: it's still there, but it must have a few more options. MSRP is $38,582. If you can get 10% off, it would be $34,724, so a little more than your current offer, but maybe the extra options are worth a couple hunskies...??

It being a 2016 I thing you can do a bit better than that for a 2 wheel drive truck. 2017 are about to hit the lots. I think you should be able to get another grand off of it

I think that's a good price. Take that to your local dealer and see if they can match/beat it.

    pre delivery inspection.

removal of transport materials and getting the truck road ready including a light detail.

if its been sitting a while, its a good idea to have them give it the once over.

the u-joint greasing thing and the tranny flash are fairly recent and dealers may not know about it.

I'm thinking the Proc doc fee could go and I would be happy. I'll ask for it worse they can say is no. I'm in no rush and I agree with the 2017s rolling out should work in my favor.

They're not good at listing all options, but just looking at it, you can see that it has the Tow Package and Tonneau Cover. Personally, the Tonneau is worth the upgrade and was a deal breaker for the friend that I sent down. Luckily both mine and his had it anyway. And a quick bit of info...if you decide later that you want the cover, you can't get it. Factory installed only. They have one similar, but not that one! Just food for thought.

Had the same problem (I'm in Knoxville). Nothing local, plus local dealers don't deal AT ALL!! Still asking for sticker or very little off...like maybe $1,000. In my estimation, I saved almost $4K by going to Atlanta. 3 hour road trip well worth it!! Might be worth it to at least give them a call...?

Now, my local dealer has an excellent service department and they will continue to get my business!

I actually just came back today from a local dealer here in Nashville. Just went in to test drive a TRD Sport and a limited just to see the difference in person of the two. You are not kidding about local dealers not wanting to deal. On a TRD Sport 4x4 with Tech and Premium pack no JBL (had Tonneau cover) they were holding at $37,200 and wouldn't budge. I believe I can get the Limited 4x4 with Tonneau for that price in Alabama. Given the price I was quoted on the RWD 4x4 Tacoma (with Tonneau) at $34.600 the 4x4 option should add at most 3k. The sales manager said that the TRD Sport is a better equipped truck (Offroading, suspension etc) than the Limited and that is why it will command a similar price as the Limited 4x4. I am unsure of the validity of his statement though.

I find the prices and research I am doing is all showing Alabama, Georgia and Florida way better on pricing. I may have to make a road trip.

Not that it matters cause its a different truck but I got my 2014 DCSB Baja edition in 2014 for $37k out the door. Thats 4 wheel drive fully loaded with a way better suspension than stock. Just thought I would put it out there for reference. I wouldn't pay 40k for a 2wd it just seems way over priced.

37k out the door is a hell of a deal for that truck. I need to hold out for that sort of deal.
