I have a Winchester model 94 in .32 special. It used to be my grandfather's rifle. He bought it in the 1930s. I was fortunate enough to shoot my first deer with it. The only problem that I thought I had with it was the top eject made it difficult to mount a scope. I thought all deer rifles needed a scope. I have shot more than a few deer with the irons:D

My theory was an out of spec round that the extractor couldn’t grab. A chamber check would have caught it. Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.

lol same I was gonna say... not visually checking the chamber.

That said and all things considered, hope your other guns aren’t stored loaded.

Although you cycled a few times the ejection didn't work properly.l, for whatever reason.

Always look for anything in the chamber thru the ejection port before you pull the trigger.
My friend did the same thing with his 9mm thru his TV. Oops!!

    I have a Browning BL-22, as someone pictured above, a Winchester .30-30, and a pre-Remlin Marlin 1894c in 357. My wife just bought a Henry All-Weather .45-70.

I’ve owned this Marlin 336T .30-30 for about 40 years.

Marlin 38/357. I need to set my handload press back up and load some 180-200 gr LSWC in 357 cases. Some hot and heavy to match 30-30 energy (sans can) and some light and quiet for plinking.

also have a 45-70 that has sat untouched for years. Guy listed it on a local board and I low balled him. Eventually after no other takers he took my low ball offer. So I got it dirt cheap and just have never gotten around to zeroing it. He bought and after a few rounds decided it was not for him. LOL
