I briefly looked for unfinished wood stock and forearm so I could apply a deeper darker stain in olive or something more tacticool without being full on tacti-tarded.

    Don't overlook the X/bolt safety Marlins......which began around '83

2010-2015 were Rem-Lins that had QC issues.....built in NY

I had one and it never gave me any trouble. They aren’t quite as refined as some of the other brands but they are reliable and just as fun to shoot. I ended up trading it for a bolt action hunting rifle though. They are a good buy for the price.

There are a lot listed for around that price but none are selling. He just messaged me and he doesn't want the Glock anyways. I supposed i'll post the Glock and then see what I can work out for cash on the Marlin.

Model 99 Savage (circa 1951) in 300 Savage......my dad's first real 'deer gun'. Used to be my backup or second day gun in Pa. but now with a scope on it, it is the only gun I am taking with me tomorrow for Saturday's opener.

Had just a peep sight on it until 2 years ago......with PA.'s new antler regs (10+ years ago) and my older/less good eyes, I finally broke down and added the scope. Wish I wouldn't have done it though. The first 'gunsmith' I took it to mounted it crooked!! Then he re-drilled the gun and screwed it up more!!! Cost me like $300 to have my gun f****ed up. Finally took it to another guy who had to fill the incorrect holes and used different mount to get it correct. Got my first 3 bucks using the peep sight, but that was over 45 years ago!!

Will take a pic or two once I get to camp, cause I know everyone likes pics.

Just got my first lever gun not too long ago. Custom leather I ordered came in shortly after. Super happy with it.
