Hard to say... I bought this mid size truck over the half ton V8 competition, and part of the reasoning was better MPG.

My previous 2014 Sierra 5.3L 4x4 achieved a lifetime average over 40,000 miles of 15.1 Mpg

My Tacoma has a lifetime average of 19.8L over 10,000 miles.

5mpg adds up when you drive 25,000 miles per year. I'll likely go back to a Sierra with the 3.0L diesel if it can achieve 5 MPG more than the tacoma

Do they make this for the 2005? I'd like to get 1mpg...

Are these the same people who voluntarily add $100 to their income tax to help pay the national debt?

    Well good for you.

I have the air dam (I think it’s referred to as a valance) on mine. I did it because I know what it does AND I have a front hitch, so it helps turn that barn door into something a bit more svelte. Highway miles matter to some of us. Its technical purpose is airflow control to aid in front end downforce and stabilization. I understand why a 100% off-road dweller would not need it. But if you are highway/road bound over 50% it may make sense. You do you.
