    I'm surprized at you guys with the fact these tailgates are known to be weak.

    They supposedly fixed that issue at some point. I don't remember which year or if it's even true that they fixed it. I just strap the back end down so it's not bouncing on the tailgate. Keep in mind, most of the bikes shown are sport bikes. They weigh in the low to mid 400's and a lot of their weight is on the front end. I don't know as if I'd trust a big ole Harley on the tailgate like that.

    Yeah, I'd be more concerned about the weight being concentrated on the gate while loading or unloading. I also didn't realize they were that light either.

    Confirmed. A normal bed extender will not work. I use a Moto-Gate and highly recommend it. It's more expensive than the cheapo nets but it looks like it will last longer than the life of the truck. I think they have a lifetime warranty, but I could be wrong.
