Not a pilot, but I would like to do some lessons if it wasn't so damn expensive! At least 9 to 10 grand in my area. I'm currently a line guy at an FBO about 10 miles from my house, really cool job. It's a decently busy half-civilian/half-military airport so I get to fuel a lot of dfferent aircraft: Military helicopters, Military Jets, Gulfstreams, Hawkers, Challengers, 737s, Super Sabres, Citations, King Airs, Bonanzas, Mooneys, Pipers. . . And Cessnas :puke:I hate Cessnas. Such a pain in the butt. They usually take the longest to fuel and they usually have leaks or special little problems of their own. Hate em. . . like aviation though :D
Frst plane ride ever was in a Cherokee 140 about six months back in a terrible storm. Nobody was flying that day so my boss pulled his plane out the hanger and we went around the pattern a few times. Fun stuff!

I fly a Cessna 172 out here in Hawaii for fun. I have my PPL, working towards getting my instruments rating! I'm a A&P mechanic though so I tend to spend most my time on the ground :))

I fly a 1968 C-150 whenever time allows. 4 guys split owning a 40 plus year old 100 HP 2 seater that ain't fast, but it is affordable that way. I was smart? enough (read, lucky enough) to figure out in high school that flying lessons didn't cost much more than what a lot of guys were drinking (that was 1982) so got my private ticket for about $1600!:D

I am working on my PPL right now in a cessna 172 w/ garmin 1000. Hoping to get a pilot slot in the AF with the help of my dad and a few friends. Gotta follow in my dads footsteps. He flew F-111's and F-16's until retirement and is now a Captain for SouthWest airlines in a 737.

    one day!

Yeah I am fine just happy to hear the pilots are good, thank god for ejection seats.

Ol' zeller and Douglas got yelled at by the wing so there is no more pt during sim time. They still yell and preface the sim by telling you they might start yelling and they hope they don't hurt your feelings. Hope to see you around the prowler community.
