I started a while back and got up to 20 hours. Then I moved and I couldn't get to the regional airport anymore.

I'd love to finish up, but at my age, (33) I can't see the benefits of spending another 5+ grand finishing my PPL to go CFI and scrape out a living for the next 10 years until I get the hours.

Being in Seattle, there's a huge flying community here. But realistically, there aren't any $50K/year jobs with benefits for someone just finishing flight school. And I'm too old for the military.

I'd still love to be a bush pilot, though.

Trained for some hours and wanted to get my license this year, but it is looking less likely.

But I did get to co-pilot this Citation CJ3, which was awesome.

My advice to you is go for it if that is your goal - I'm sure I will regret not getting it, but finances are another issue entirely.

Common sense and knowing when is the appropriate time to use it. It's not necessarily a pilot-error failsafe.

No way. I'm waiting for my military training. Flying has gotten way to expensive.
