    Ok see that explains why you said what you said. Your point of view and use for the truck is different than what i use it for. That’s not to say that your statement is less credible, it’s actually credible in a way towards someone that won’t off road as much and will mostly stick to pavement.

    The locking differential is not something I use every time I off road just because I have it. However I do use it when a path looks tricky and I do feel the traction improvement. It is a good feature and a lot of people agree that a locker helps a lot. Crawl control I have only played with, don’t feel as if I “need” it. But hey it came with the truck why not use it.

    Keep your truck, put what you normally would pay into the truck and slide it into a high earning savings acct online and when you decide its time to buy, you'll be pleasantly surprised at how much you have in there. Did that with my wifes car and we have no car payment anymore for her.

    Not worth trading a 3 year old truck IMO. You are seeing the New Hotness which is a powerful draw but just a want not a need. I would keep what you have.

    First off, this is a great thread for POSITIVE third gen reviews. Secondly, I'd say don't buy new til "the wheels fall off" .If you take the money and invest, you'll never have a truck payment again due to high trade in and some cash. Mine is a 2017 and is paid for. My wife's 2015 4R is paid for. No thank you truck payments, I love cash flow and investing. And I do love my 3rd gen, but I'd be happy with a newISH truck .Nothing wrong with that truck .

    I had a Prerunner DC & access cab, I got mine because I wanted a brand new truck and to be the first owner. that being said if I was the first owner of my 2nd gen, I would have kept it. Paid off truck is better than a truck payment. Also cheaper registration, taxes and insurance. save the cash I say and buy more guns

    We would still be in our 2005 if the headgasket hadn't gone, it ended up with a cracked head. We bought it in 2011 and had the frame swapped in 2015. It was a good truck for us.

    Before the problems started when the 3rd Gen started driving around we though 'one day' we would upgrade. Well that day came earlier than expected;

    The new truck is awesome, I've got no complaints after a year and a bit. It drives different that the 2nd gen, gets better mileage, and has 12 year newer safety features, plus heated seats. Buying new hurts, we are almost done payments after a year of aggressive paying.

    I don't know if going from a 2015 to a 2019 is a big enough jump for me. Your truck is paid off now and is still on the newer side of a 2nd gen. Can you say 'one day' and hang on to your truck now?
