Going to look at this truck in the AM. Any warning signs jump out at you? Its had timing belt, water pump, serpentine belt, thermostat, and radiator replaced within the last 5 years. Lower ball joints replaced under recall. Lots of dealer records of routine maintenance. Is the price too high for the miles? Appreciate any input.

Nice looking Yoda, ok price from a dealer. I would run the VIN through Toyota for sure before even going to see it.

That orange crust that I see behind the tire is concerning. Screenshot_20191006-171709.jpg

I saw it. It's mud according to dealership. They sent me some pics after washing, but it's still not completely clean. I'm bringing a hammer and a screwdriver with me. Plan on taking it to a car wash and pressure washing the underside then beating on the frame. Ran the VIN on Toyota's website and that's where I got the maintenance records and the stuff that's been replace .

Kinda odd for there to be mud on the frame but not the mudflaps, leafs, inner fender etc.

Well, like everyone else on this thread, the frame is the biggest factor here. If it has really bad rust, that taco will "taco" pretty soon.

Looks good to me. I have an 04 DC and I get mud stuck to the frame all the time that looks like rust but under the mud it is rust free.
It might be some kind of undercoat that mud just had an easy time sticking to.

Frame looks good to me. I might try to talk them down a little on price because of the mileage. 250k+ on the original transmission would make me a little nervous but if it drives well it's probably worth 7-8k.

No mention of frame replacement on Toyota website when I ran the VIN. It's a 5 hour drive from where I live so I just want to be as sure as possible before I go that I'm not wasting my time.

Pic# 3 shows a white sticker on frame usually found on replacement frames. Pic# 5 shows rockerbox seals partially removed, somebody was seriously looking for inner body rust previously. Those seals are tough to remove, takes a blade.

Any way the frame replacement wouldn't show up on Toyota website VIN check? I can take it to the Toyota dealership in Memphis where it received all its service and have them look tomorrow. Just can't believe it wouldn't show up on the VIN check.
