There is a warranty extension on ones that failed, it's not a recall. Only 12's and only ones with engine code failures.

Good question! I just replaced my SAIS a month ago and knew nothing of this. Never was notified through Dealer. Thanks for this info.!

According to the dealership, it is now a recall, in addition to the extended warranty. I can’t find evidence, but still looking. Loud noice from air pump for 15 seconds on cold start, then the Trac off/CEL light came on and she went into “limp mode”. Brought it in, got SAIS replaced. The fan revving on cold start, and now the same lights are back on. Urg
    UPDATE:
Got the truck back, and ran great; more pick-up than ever. Then the next morning the exact same scenario happened again. Seems the dealership installed the “04008-3520C Repair kit, air pump”, but didn’t replace the pump itself. Called and they said that “it must be something else” besides the recall work. Will be back as soon as they re-open Wednesday after the Sally passes. Obviously, I’m not agreeing with their opinion just yet, but who knows. Frustrating to say the least.
