Probably should’ve waited till I got a winch... but none the less I stuck it. I’m in Newborn if anybody knows of anyone to call... ... or has a winch?! It’s not even really that bad. Let me know!

Install conditions weren’t exactly ideal but I made it happen! In the end, once I used the winch to just get the tires out of the mud, I drove the truck out of there in 4 low. Looking back I just panicked and gave it too much gas once I got down there... Live and learn:)

You installed the winch on the truck as it was stuck?! Classic. That's self recovery if I ever seen it. BTW, you wanna keep the tree saver as low as possible so you don't pull the tree/pole down on you. It happened to a Land Cruiser guy on his maiden offroad trip. He anchored to a dead tree and pulled it right on the truck, creasing it from front to back.

Just curious what the heck were you doing in that location in the first place? Trying to find a hidden fishing hole :burnrubber:

That could have been a lot worse.

How'd you get a winch within the next day?

Probably because he lives in the south east and we can just go buy a winch .
