Any remote starts that don't turn on parking lights?

I see that the startx/12volt/N2 will keep your parking lights on when the truck is running. I can't be blinding my neighbors (oem led headlights) when I get ready for work in the morning. Is there a way around this or do any of the vipers or compustars not turn on your parking lights? Thanks!

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Why would your OEM headlights come on?

I would guess that the parking lights are a way of reminding you that the engine is running just in case you space out on it.

Can't you park in a way that won't affect your neighbors?

You just don’t hook up the parking light wire. Some of the plug in play units have you 5 wire the auto light wire, so in that case you’d have to make some wiring changes to the harness.

Unfortunately no. Neighbors bedroom window is 8 feet from my driveway so they'll get it no matter what direction truck is pointed. Depending on which way I pull in the driveway, either the person across the street will get lit up or person behind me.

Headlights don't come on, on parking lights. Just meant that I have the oem leds so even the parking lights light up the house across the street.

So if I can find the parking light wire in the remote start harness just cut it? Maybe I could email the company for a wiring diagram.

Maybe back in the driveway instead of pulling in? Or Vise versa depending how you normally park.

Unfortunately can't. Neighbors bedroom window is 8 feet from my driveway so they'll get it no matter what direction truck is pointed. Depending on which way I pull in the driveway, either the person across the street will get lit up or person behind me. We have a single wide driveway too. Best I could do is pull right up to my wife's car pointed toward the garage and that might work. But the rear lights are still on and I'd have 30 feet of ice to walk over in the dark.

Heard back from startx (the one I have now) and they said the parking lights aren't turned on with a wire, they're controlled by CAN. He mentioned pulling the parking brake might work.

Ahhhh I got ya, and yes, I do know pulling the park brake disengages the DRL. Maybe that’ll work with the remote start as well. Good luck!

If no one else chimes in with a fix or alternative I can reinstall and try the parking brake. Thanks!

Nice of you to be considerate, not many people seem to give a F about anyone else any more. That's said, isn't the the engine sounds going to wake them up anyways?

Parking brake won't help unfortunately. This is my truck now with the brake up.

This. Simple is better. And make sure you don't have one of those that honk the horn upon startup like a neighbor I have.

    Truth

Probably. Hopefully he won't be back asking about an exhaust system. :D

It's funny you mention that. I think I happened to snap a pic mid lock .

Here's white with the red halos.

    .

Chimes are always off, never been able to stand them. I was ecstatic when I found out I could turn them off in my '17 through the screen. Dealer wanted $80 to turn them off in my older rav4. Good point on the engine though, it is loud.
