They have a 1st gens on eBay from time to time...the nonrefundable $500 deposit it a little troublesome when buying sight unseen. Anybody ever deal with them?

I had the same question about them. They always have nice looking trucks on ebay. I'm down in Northern VA and was looking into them a couple months ago. It seems like they're ok, but then i found this:

I read these reviews and was conflicted with the reviews they got on ebay and facebook and what not. Personally, I don't know if I could trust them. I ended up purchasing from craigslist(not sure if that's much better, but I got a sweet deal, so). I would check craigslist first and see if you can find a gem. Every once in awhile they pop up, even within a couple hundred miles. Its up to you.

Were you looking at jeeps or tacos?

Taco...Large tree fell on mine a couple years ago, and I keep my eye out for low mile trucks. I can't slam Davis in particular, $500 bucks is a hefty entry fee to lose when you finally drive 10 hrs to see what you bought, and find leaks, hastily sprayed undercoating to hide rot, diff noises, etc, etc. I'm ok with dealing with older used cars, but buying without seeing adds a whole 'nuther butt pucker factor.

    Thanks for your info!
