I've already researched a bit, but I just want to be sure. Will there be any rub with 265/75r16 tires? I just installed a 2.5" suspension lift. I am probably going with General Grabber X3's. Any info would be appreciated!

Yep. It will rub at full lock with that much lift. Specifically on the Washer Fluid reservoir. Right on the corner. I have that much lift and tire size. Probably going to relocate the blinker fluid ;)

Yes. I have 3rd Gen Tacoma TRD Off-Road rims and BFG KO2 LT265/75-R16 and I have rubbing at absolute full lock. I only notice it when turning sharp, parking, or making u-turns. Otherwise you don't notice it. I'm running the stock suspension on my PreRunner.

Nice truck and I like the wheel/tire setup. Thanks for the info!

No problem. I am testing out 1.25 and 1.5 wheel spacers later today so I'll let you know which one works best.

I should add it rubs on the upper control arm, and nothing else. As far as I know.

The proper answer is it will “probably” rub, but maybe not, too.

Every vehicle is different, really. I have 265/75 bfg a/t’s and they rubbed up until I put my Kings on, with about 2” of lift on the stock rims. They used to rub in the parking lot at full lock, but with the kings, I haven’t had them rub yet. Not in a parking lot, or offroad.

With a smaller back space or spacers, they probably wouldn’t have rubbed even when I had my 5100s on the middle setting, maybe even stock height.

In that size (32s), it is mostly about the wheels when a rub occurs. If you intend to use the stock alloys shown in your picture, its unlikely you will experience much, if any at all, rubbing. Certainly not on the UCA upper ball joint area. @BartMaster1234 has a rub there because of the wheels he is using. They have a lot more backspacing than the ones on your truck now.

I have no rub with 265/75/16 KO2's. I had a slight rub with 255/85's on a full lock.

To be sure I wouldn't rub, I did a mild pinch weld mod. I don't rub rolling on Method 16x8" wheels with 4.5 back space with 265/75R/16 Grabber AT2 tires and the mod was super easy.

You will rub the frame a tiny bit. Just keep the wheels of full lock by a hair. Pinch weld mod is recommended. I'm running 33x10.5r15's which are bigger then your tires. I only rub the frame a tiny bit. I don't even feel it. Every tire is different. The tire you want has a 8.3 inch wide tred. My km2's have an 8 inch wide tred. It seems like the width causes the most rubbing issues.

Thanks for the info everyone! Everything is on hold until the frame inspection from the dealer is done on 12/5. Hoping for a frame replacement, but the frame is pretty good shape from what I can tell and has been coated before form the dealer.

Looks A little small compared to my s10. Tacoma is pre lift in pic. I should have been in the Toyota game a long time ago! I'm loving it! IMG_0897.jpg !
