Does anyone know if the fuel pump recall will reflash your ecu? If so will my ovtune be flashed over...

No it does not, when is your fuel pump recall? If you feel more comfortable doing the recall first, you can do that as well. The tune adjusts the mapping of shift points and throttle response. Does not effect ecu ID. Feel free to ask other questions, here to help. @Toki

@tacowiz is correct. In theory, if there is a TSB UPDATE and the the shop updates you, the it would erase the tune. But it’s highly unlikely. They have so many to do. And there is no reason for them to flash it afterwards. On top of that, there are only a handful of TSB updates that update the ECU ID and the likelihood of it coming out before your recall and them flashing it is extremely unlikely! I'll also update you to the lastest TSB before your tune!

I called my local dealer and they said they will contact me in a couple months when they can source the part...o_Oo_O must not be that serious of a recall lol. They also want to recall a millimeter sensor or something as well.

I wouldn't bee worried about it. These recalls are irrelevant to TSB updates. The dealers will only give you a TSB update if you request it (in most cases. I say "most" because nothing is 100%). But yeah, don't lose sleep over it lol. Are you already tuned or planning to stop by?

I called Toyota Concord on Monday and made the appointment for tomorrow Friday. They claim they have done plenty of these recalls. Asked if they have any other issues for my truck and they said no. Hope it all goes well so I can have @chanvchau flash me this weekend:thumbsup:
