Any So Cal Kidneys Available?

Hey, just wanted to check in and see how you are doing. Hope you are having a great Christmas.
I see my nephrologist the first week of January. I know my function has gone down over the last 4 months, so I'm somewhat dreading it.

 

thanks for checking!!! i am getting stronger each week, and now biking 10 to 14 miles a day, 2 to 3 days a week... im currently down to 166 pounds from 225 pounds pre dialysis...

I am currently being monitored for an infection in the new kidney and now sun spots hoping not to catch the skin cancer that transplant recipients get, but i feel great so not concerned...

good luck with your nephrologist appointment.. feel free to message me with any questions you may have from a patient's perspective...

That reminds me. If anyone is local to Pasadena, I started a small support group of sorts of kidney patients and those who support the cause to join me on bike rides. Currently I can only do roads as I have to avoid dirt and dust so I do laps around the Rose Bowl. It's a little over 3 miles each loop and i do about 3 to 4 laps. Takes about an hour.
