    In this country anyway.
    My nephrologist keeps telling me we're only a few years away from getting them from pigs. I already love pigs for their contributions to mankind (BACON) and will gladly let one grow me a kidney someday. Probably wont happen in my lifetime, but when it does it will be great for those needing transplants.

    Few months ago, I was approached by a cholo offering me a kidney for a price. He didn't indicate where he was getting it from, so not quite sure if he was going to cut his own out or out of someone else. I quietly declined and high tailed it out of that neighborhood.

    Lucy(my truck) is done. Im hoping to eventually go T4R, but that will be a while. I enjoy paying it forward. Makes me all fuzzy and happy inside. I'm always taking care of my peeps/family. TW is family.

    Tofu and veggies are wonderful. I eat meat free most days. Mostly because lazy.

    I don't think they retransplant it. If the donor later ends up in kidney failure, they get bumped towards top of list.

    Thanks Danny. Yah it's rough seeing fellow patients give up. In the last 6 months, I have seen 4 patients pass on. 2 of them chose to die by giving up on treatment.
