I asked Marie at Headstrong Offroad the same question a few weeks back - she suggested hose clamps or larger zip ties than the ones that came with the shocks.

Larger zip ties worked perfectly for mine.

Thanks for the info. Glad I’m not the only one driven nuts by this.

Get thick zip ties, the kind you can really get tight. Those dinky ones that came with the shocks are useless. You also have to be sure to leave enough slack for full axle flexing - your photo looks like you pulled it down too tight.

Yeah.....I just pulled it down all the way after de-scrunching it, but your point is well taken.

The problem really only starts when the truck is either off-roading a lot, or on a hoist a lot. More so the first one, especially if the shocks are used so they warm up a lot.

Yeah, but being on a hoist allot doesn't necessarily mean a bad thing, I mean you may be doing it to get stuff like a reroute, new wheels, some armor, etc... o_O

Put one stock shock back on. Gorilla taped the other one at the bottom. No tearing so far

I had boots on my original 5100s, always sat funny and crooked.... I left them off when I installed the B110s.
