Any solution to not getting shocked after getting out of truck?

So I'm fairly certain this happens with other vehicles, especially older models. It seems the only solution I've found so far is to touch the outer metal while stepping out to ground the static. Either that or I'm not looking hard enough for a certain answer to fixing this.

Would it have anything to do with the wiring within the truck or something? Any fellow Tacoma owners have this same situation? Any input is appreciated!

Lol, static electricity. I notice it only during monsoon season in AZ with the cloth seats in my Tacoma and sliding across the seat to get out. Put your hand on the glass window and it will "ground" you and prevent a shock.

Now that I think about it, that makes alot of sense. Moving around with the cloth material could create static charge, I wonder if putting something over the seat could fix this. Imagine the passengers shock when they find out :D

Buy some fabric anti-static spray and use it on your seats and carpet.

cool, I'll definitely try that out.

So the general consensus on this issue is because the seats are cloth and the type of weather its in? I've always wondered what made old vehicles do that, thinking about it now does make alot of sense with the charge buildup.
