So you want to buy a Sport just because the Off Road hood MAY separate? I don't think that should be a deciding factor in which model you buy. The OR has more features that actually cost more than the looks that come with the Sport. Also, if your hood does have issues, and many don't, you can easily fix it yourself or take it in for warranty work.

Thanks for the replies. I actually have been going back and forth on buying a Sport or an Off Road ever since the Gen 3's arrived on the scene. The Off Road extras are not all that important to me. However hassles with minor dealer repairs are...especially body/paint repairs. Messing with the hood adhesive has caused several folks on the forum major headaches.

Photos of that? Also, how much light does it add. I really dislike the high beams on mine and looking for options. I am not in love with ditch lights. I've read some detailed light upgrade posts but your suggestion also seems interesting.

No issues with mine ether. I bought a TRD pro hood from the dealer and had my friend paint and install it. And the hood scoop is bolted through the bracing of the hood. Maybe the one at the dealership you were looking at wasn’t bolted down all the way

You must be 7' tall, I had a hard time seeing tracks running hounds in mine too.

They're like tranny tits, interesting to look at, but disappointing once you got your hands on one.

I haven't done mine yet, but I've been researching what to get. There are several threads on here from folks who have done it. It looks pretty functional actually

I have actually been having trouble with mine. The plastic piece keeps coming unsnapped in the middle. Every time I wash it, I notice that it needs to be snapped back down. I’m waiting for it to fly off on the highway one of these days.

LOL! I am a short guy and I have a 3/8" spacer that I am gonna install on the driver side tomorrow when I put in the 887/5100's tomorrow. I am thinking that will give me a bit of a view over the scoop vs the standard 1/4" driver side, lift recommended spacer. It might not work, might not work at all, but Ya gotta shake the tree sometimes and see what falls.
