I'm right in the middle of the ROF path. I like to film stuff like this so I ordered solar filter material and I'm going to try and video it. Unfortunately I don't have allot of eclipse filming experience.

The Helix Nebula, NGC 7293, it lies about 650 light-years away in the constellation of Aquarius. It is one of the closest and most spectacular examples of a planetary nebula. The nebula's striking appearance earned it the nickname the Eye of God. This image was captured at the dark skies of the Breachway, in Charlestown, RI. 40 minutes of total integration.

An incomplete mosaic of Messier 24 (Sagittarius Star Cloud, Delle Caustiche), also the dark nebula Barnard 92, the dark nebula Barnard 93, and the open cluster NGC 6603. Unfortunately it was low to the horizon at the start of the capture so only a short duration integration is shown here. Taken at the dark skies of the Breachway in Charlestown, RI. The vast number of stars is amazing!

The Fish Head, Heart, and the Soul nebulae panorama. 3 2.4 x 2.4 degree mosaics stiched to form this image. Took multiple nights to capture the various frames (only 1 frame /mosaic).

The Loch Ness Monster LDN 772 is a large complex of dark nebulae. The head of the monster at top right is comprised of LDN 773 and LDN 774. The neck is LDN 775. The body is LDN 769 and LDN 772. LDN 768 makes up the lower part of the body at lower left. The blue reflection nebula surrounding the 8.6 magnitude star HD 182918 in the Monster's hip area at lower left is LBN 134. The fainter patch of reflection nebulosity to its west (right in this image) is LBN 133. This object is not in my catalog of searchable objects, thus it was imaged via inputs of the coordinates.

Cloudy this afternoon from the outset, I was just getting ready to quit and a very small patch of blue sky magically appeared. Had the Vespera running the entire time so I was able to get this image, 2 sunspots are visible. This was the maximum moon/sun overlap from my location in Wakefield, RI:

This shot pales in comparison to others in this thread. But then again it was taken with a super shitty samsung S23+ cell camera sooo Im decently impressed.

A few recent moon related photos. The first is a hand held Manual shot (moon and clouds with Jupiter conjunction assembled from 2 images), the second is an afocal prime shot with an 8" LX200 EMC Classic (f/10) and a Canon R6 Mark 2, the moon was partially covered in clouds but was able to get the shot when the clouds briefly moved away:

I broke down and installed a filter tray in the image train. It's the Starizona tray with a LP filter. Haven't imaged with it yet--hopefully, it's clear next week :)

The California Nebula was one of the few targets visibly accessible to me last night so I decided to revisit that target (1996 subs), Bortle 6, Light Pollution Filter, CovalENS. Same image, different processing

Another clear night! This is a mosaic of the Flaming Star and Tadpoles Nebulae. 1664 10 second sub exposures, light pollution filter, clear cold skies. IC 405 (The Flaming Star Nebula) and IC 410 (The Tadpoles Nebula) are two large emission nebulae located in the constellation Auriga. Stretched in Affinity Photo 2, with some star reduction using RCASTRO StarShrink. At this integration the flames are just starting to show, but not the Tadpoles.....

Clear cold night. This image of the Rosette Nebula represents the integration of 1725 10 second sub exposures. I used a light pollution filter, CovalENS mosaic mode, and there was no moon. This is directly from the telescope with minimal processing!

The Soul Nebula, 2900 10 second sub exposures. A total integration time of just over 5 hours. Clear cold night with a 3% moon. Dual band filter, CovalENS mosaic mode. Stretched in Siril with some minor star reduction with Starnett+. The Soul Nebula is sometimes also known as the Embryo Nebula or IC 1848, which is a designation used for the open star cluster embedded within the nebula.

The Soul Nebula is an emission nebula located in the constellation Cassiopeia. It forms a famous pair known as the Heart and Soul with the neighbouring Heart Nebula (IC 1805). The Soul Nebula is sometimes also known as the Embryo Nebula or IC 1848, which is a designation used for the open star cluster embedded within the nebula.

The Horsehead Nebula is a small dark nebula located just above the bright star Alnitak - the left-most star on Orion's Belt. It is located some 1300 light-year from the earth. On the other side of Alnitak is the Flame Nebula. this is a 1038 10 second sub exposures mosaic image with CovalENS and stretched with the FITS Scrubber. First appearance of Orion early enough for me to capture this. The peak elevation was just about 44 degrees at ~1AM.
