Hey there folks, I just recently started having some issues with my 1999 Tacoma (2.4L Automatic) (sexy as hell) not wanting to do much of anything in first or second gear and it appears time for a tune-up. Anyone know of a kit they'd recommend for some new sparkies and coils?

Hope everyone is having a great day, thanks in advance for any help.

Sounds like more of a transmission issue if your problem is present only in specific gears.

A tune up starts with a valve check/adjust.

I should mention I heard a loud booming noise twice before it kicked into gear, as I was trying to merge onto the highway. The idea is to try and see what I can myself to address the issue, but I have little experience and heard a “tune-up” kit, changing plugs and coils, would be a good start. Thanks again.
