Yes I forgot to mention this. It’s possibly the best “axle replacement life hack”. Because I have personally done it and it’s so dang easy. Keep physical receipts if your Napa axles in glovebox & buy at least 1 Napa axle to keep as replacement. When you replace your torn boot axle, walk it in with receipt and walk out with brand new lifetime warranty Napa axle. They give new replacements even for just torn boots. It’s a beautiful thing especially because Napa stores in my experience are everywhere.

Couple of years ago, when I had my frame replaced, I asked them to look at the CV's as I had about 180k on the truck. They put them in OEM, 168 a side.

    Hmm . . . none as yet, that's why i'm here . . .
Too bad you had them replaced, especially at the dealer.
Everyone here missed the obvious, the dealer sold you on new axles without you seeing them, leaking grease. HA.
Dealers are the biggest crooks out there.

I just watched this video the other night. It's a great video and I'll definitely rebuild mine after seeing that, if I ever need to. I may replace with a Cardone from Rockauto and bebuild my stockers as a spare, but he really made it look easy.

The dealership didn't offer remans? They all carry them. I guess they wouldn't offer though unless asked, more money to be made on new ones.

They did offer remans, but they were out of stock and no time frame for when they would arrive, new part was available so thats what I went with
