Put it in the bed of the truck somewhere. Fuel door. Magnet case in the frame somewhere. Backside of the wheel. Just make sure it’s toward the back of the truck or passenger side. It needs to be close to the driver door for the keyless entry to work.

They continue to have security vulnerabilities in their service. Using things like like hard coded passwords tells me that the company was founded with security in mind.

I've hid mine in the bed, but I've also tucked it in behind my hitch receiver plug!

Depends where I'm at, at the beach I'll take them with me. Last summer there was a gang from TJ Mexico using binoculars to watch surfers and other beach goers as they left their vehicles. Thefts were rampent and only one apprehension from a stakeout, the rest of them are still out there.

A while back I did a triathlon and had this dilemma. I took the valet key with me and locked the fob in the cab.

Slide it in an unused condom. Tie it off. Put it in your board short pocket.

Or, slide it in an unused condom wrapped in a paper towel (camo). Tie it off. Put it in the bed of your truck.

Don’t use the condoms after you do this and return to the truck — they’re cheap and can just be thrown away. Sun and heat break down the materials and make the condoms less effective.

Try it out, put the fob in the center council and lock the door with the valet key. I will not unlock with out the valet key. ...I don't know if you try the extra fob?

Disable the touch locks and put the spare key in the wetsuit or trunk pocket.....a bikini might be tougher!

Or buy one of those combination lock key vaults that a lot of real estate agents use.

    —————————
    Disable touch locks

Press and hold lock on remote, then press unlock twice.

You can lock the fob inside and use the key to open the door.
Press any button on the fob to re-enable the touch locks.

    I'd rather not say :spy:

Lock keys in truck and most of my surf shorts has a little Velcro pocket with a loop that can tie valet key to.

Can you discuss this more? I think I follow, but I'm curious of the source, as I try to do my homework before purchases.

That being said, I'm in the burbs and full coverage is a given with these 25yr service life vehicles.

Why does it have to be an unused condom?
