Any Tacoma Owners Over 50?

46 and counting so almost there but I don't care I drive what I love!!!!!

 

I am 61 and wife is 58. We share a '19 Access Cab OR )cement) that we took delivery of on December 26, 2018. We get no funny looks at there are a bazillion Tacos on the road here in the Berkshires (Western Massachusetts). We just feel like one of the crowd...

Oh, and our 27 yo son drives an '09 AC, basic 4 cyl 5 speed manual. He thinks us getting a Taco is a great thing...

 

I am 58 and bought my Taco when I was 55. First Toyota and first Tacoma but not my first truck. I am down to just one vehicle, one motorcycle and four bicycles now, because my wife insists on being able to park in the garage. Huh.

 

Almost 60 and currently own two Tacos. Have owned three over the last 20 years.

I’m 53 and never get looks. I have a really cool looking inferno and still never get looks. I must be doing something wrong. Lol

 

72 and don't care what anybody else thinks! I love my Taco and that's all that matters!

52 and slowly modding my 2018 Tacoma. Pay as you go and you never owe! Gunmetal SCS ray 10's purchased and waiting $$$ for a lift and tires.

51, but with my hot 19 yo piece-o-ass in the passenger seat it averages better.

 

55 for another 6 weeks or so. I have been buying Lexus RX's for a while (4 of them). I did have a Toyota 1 Ton Pickup back in the early 90's (basically a brick on roller skates). I have only had the Taco for a few weeks, but it feels like a good fit.

I ski, trail run and bike ride and also do a fair amount of wood working as a hobby, so it will get some use. I would like to say I camp, but I only manage to drag my fiance out a couple times a year. I am hoping for more camping in the future. I used to do a fair amount of backpacking and camping, before and after my first marriage (21 years - she gave up camping after about 3 years).

I am debating putting bars over the bed for a ski rack or going with the factory roof rack (I know I can just throw skis in the back, but that doesn't lock them up). I have a Thule rack that will go on the factory bars and I also have a set of Yakima bars with a rack. I think I want to leave the bed open, for the most part (I am not looking for a tonneau or a cover).

 

I’ll be 56 this month , on my 5th Taco plus various toyota trucks and 4runners along the way , got my first Yota truck in 1985 a couple years after high school . It has truly been a fun bunch of years , I’m seeing more and more 50+ year olds driving Tacoma’s in my area . 7 people where I work have Tacoma’s and it’s cool to be able to hang out and shoot the breeze with all them about our trucks . Age kinda disappears and I feel like I’m 28 again !
