Any Tacoma Owners Over 50?

Another "mature" Taco owner here. My first Tacoma, wish I had switched earlier.

 

Happy 54 year old love my TACO

 

will be 58 this year and now in my 4th Toyota truck, 2 F250's, one Bronco, Blazer and 2 GMC's...along with numerous cars and one bad ass 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 that I really miss...lol

 

It comes and it goes.

 

72 and still act like a 16 yr old lol

family member turning 80 in a few months with an 'o11 4x4 single cab (2ndgen)... is that a record age or somebody here beat that?

....

 

51 in a few months

No stares, when to a meet the other night and most looked to be in their 30s but everyone was cool

 

I identify as a 19 year old. Wife says more like 12.

 

The only difference between men and boys are the price of their toys.

A couple month's shy of 52, feel older thanks to injuries from much younger years and raising 1 son and 2 daughters.
The girls are proud of my hairline, or is it lack of hair? Either way they consider it proof that I love and worry about them.

Second Tacoma, first new Tacoma. First was an 04 Pre-runner and loved the truck, so when it was out of warranty and needing a few $G infusion, I traded it for my '17.

Dunno that I get any odd looks driving the Taco.

Im almost 69 and just bought a trd and love it also just got a 2016 miata, never too old

 

51. Just a state of mind. Work out and stay busy and stay young.
Third, and best Tacoma. Guess Ive had all three Gens, hadnt even thought of it.

 

54 here. I identify as a 25 year old though. My other ride is a GSX R750.

 

73 here and driving my new 2017 Tacoma Quicksand 4WD Off Road. Sold a 2005 Dodge Ram 4WD when I bought the Tacoma. My other cars are a 2009 Dodge Challenger (hemi orange) 6-speed manual and a 69 Dodge Charger (red) 440-4speed.
My only complaint about the Tacoma is the way the auto trans shifts. I've learned to keep my foot on the throttle to keep the rpm's up. I think Toyota dropped the ball on the way they set up the auto trans shifting patterns. Would have bought a manual but the wife and daughter don't like manuals and they need to be able to drive the Tacoma on occasion.

 

odd looks being because of age OR NOT DRIVING A "Detroit" truck?

I swear I have gotten looks and even a heckling once at the gas station filling up by some drunk looking dude cruising around the gas lot in a beat up S10 or Ranger

I am not quite 50yet but when I do I might just get one of those sharp new Corolla hatchbacks or used if a manual available assuming my neck able to bend into it while getting in

 

My first Toyota pickup was a ‘75 hilux, my second was a new 1979 4x4, then a 1999 Taco that was totaled after 6 years so I bought a 2005 Taco and replaced it last year with a 2018 SR5. I plan on keeping for at least 15 years. I will be 72 in June. There is absolutely nothing wrong with old men staying young by driving cool trucks.

 

55 in 2 weeks, just numbers anymore! feel great and still work my ass off!
