Any Tacoma Owners Over 50?

This 66 y/o Boomer is on his third Taco. It’s a 2020 Limited. You know the best thing? I paid cash. You youngsters better start planning ahead.

 

56 here, just got my 2020 TRD SPT, DCLB AT VDB 4X4 In December, my first was a 2011 BASE ACLB AT 4X4 I get the looks and complements on the color.

 

I'm still trying to figure out how old I am,, 1961... what year is it?? I need a calculator. LOL

 

59 here in beautiful East Texas, will hit 60 in a few short months. I've had a 80s Nissan minitruck, a Chevy 3/4, a 73 Ford 1/2, another 73 Ford 1/2, and a flathead 52 Dodge 1/2. My Tijuana Taco is my first new truck and I'm planning on keeping it til I'm toe-tagged.

 

52 years old and on my 7 th Tacoma, starting with a 1981 SR5. all of them have been manuals, I will always have a Taco in my driveway,

 

67 ... bought my first Taco last fall. I love my 2017 Pro with low mileage.

 

76 years old....second Tacoma. First one was a 16' SR5, current one is a 2020 TRD OR. Simple mods so far (not into lifts, off-road, etc.) such as Raptor rails, TRD skid plate, speaker upgrades, bed mat, tailgate letters, aluminum oil filter cap, and other small (probably not needed) interior adds. Before that I had 3 Tundras-03', 05', 12'. Loved them but were more truck than I needed at my age. Also have an 05' Harley Lowrider FXDL (rarely ride and trying to sell) and a 19' Kubota 850 Sidekick UTV which I love to run around town on until I get stopped (street legal but can't get a license plate). I fully agree with Primersinmyshoe (Post 483)...plan ahead-pay cash.

Note: I have been a TW member since I bought my first Tacoma. The members have been great in helping with issues/questions I might have. Just recently Roadkill1081 was very helpful in a question I had about a speaker upgrade. I check the "What Have You Done....." thread constantly but need to stop as it is costing me several $$$!

Final Thought: As I come to the end of the line I wish I could "checkout" in the following manner: Get shot in the back by a jealous husband and his wife gets it in the front--same bullet!

I'll be 62 in April and am on my second Taco. Had a 2018 OR before my 2020 OR and a 2005 4Runner before that. My wife drives a 2016 4Runner. I guess we're a Toyota family!

 

65 as of the 2nd bought my 2016 Taco with 19k in August 2019

 

just turned 50, never even crossed my mind a Tacoma couldn’t be age appropriate.

 

Turning 50 in a couple months. Tacoma #3 (01, 07, & 20). 50, 60, or 70 isn't the same as it was 20-30 years ago. Love hearing all the positivity and comments of fellow Taco owners that got "a touch of gray" in their beard. Not big into the mods for me, but each to his own. I am in the cash pay camp and being fully debt free. Never hurts to be 50 and still be running sub 6 minute miles either. Haha.

Enjoyed all of them but this 19 is driving me nuts with the whining rear diff, popping in front end that I can’t find and other little crap. The older I get the more these little problems bother me

 

58 here, got my first Tacoma this past fall. I’ve always wanted one, life’s too short as most of us older folks are finding out!

 

53 now. Got this toy on my 50th BD.. The dealer called me to get it. A gift from my son while he's deployed..

Thanks! Some days I feel like I'm 100. I am a semi-retired/part-time college professor and I guess the kids somewhat keep you young...at least in your mind!
