Recent Tacoma Owner, over 60 years of age. Haven't noticed anyone giving strange looks. I just pay attention to the road and enjoy the feeling from truck, it's comfortable, built to last and attractive. Just what we wanted. BTW: Wife over 50 years of age. She just informed me, while she was driving through parking lot at mall couple gave her thumbs up. Ours is Cement TRD Off Road RWD. I do find myself staring at truck while it's parked, and other Tacoma's in the real world.

That's a heck of a lot easier to put up with than colon cancer, or any cancer for that matter.

I dunno ... That does all sound pretty cool.

However, on the other side of the coin I am married to a wife that for the most part allows me all the freedom that I can safely consume. Pretty good chance without her I would either be dead or in jail. Have three amazing kids a really good job a Corvette anda 69 COPO Camaro and a house on 4 acres with a built-in pool. I have a handful of buddies that I have known for 30 years or more can we still hang out on a regular basis. So sort of feel like I am living the dream! :)

Their best method may or not be cash. Most now will not accept $35,000 cash. Then there's (there is) a paper check which is easily accepted, BUT they still run a credit check. Assholes.

I'm 58, been driving trucks since 1986...1986 F-150, 1998 Dodge Dakota (was junk), 2000 Dodge Dakota (was junk), 2003 Ram 1500 (nice but totaled in a wreck), 2004 Ram 1500 (nice), 2011 Ram 1500 (very nice), 2015 Tacoma (best yet), 2019 Tacoma (very nice). I've never been given weird looks for being 'old' driving a Tacoma, ridiculous assumption OP!

    Nope

It's come to a point in the good ole US of A that CASH is damn near worthless due to accepting the stuff NOBODY will take the stuff!!
I told the dealer it's ether green cash or my Amex card & he eats the processing fee....he took the green stuff & he had to count it 3 times.....the moron can't even count to $35,000.00 & I'll bet my Tacoma for yours that guy didn't deposit every one of those "C" notes.

I had another example febuary 2019 when the gawddamm title company would not take $5,000.00 in cash Good faith money on some ground I wanted, not only that a personal check is worthless also they wanted a cashiers check from an account where the money had been "seasoned" for over 90 days & a copy of the bank statement PROVING IT!!

    WTF is that SHIT?
