69 and will hit 70 in November. As far back as I can remember, I've had a Toyota truck. Even had a diesel Toyota once. I've had 4 Tacoma's in just the last year. Got this last one 3 February and just hit 600 miles. I have it just in case.

My wife is on her fifth Tacoma. Her last Tacoma was a 2012 TRD Sport. Her present Tacoma is a 2015 TRD Off Road. She puts about 25,000 miles a year on her trucks. Not bad for a 73 (almost 74) year old retired kindergarten teacher. I'm the same age and currently drive a 2012 Ram Hemi 4X4...my third one.

First 4x4 was a FJ55 in 81 back in Wa. State. Dropped a Chevy 350 in it the 2F engine ate valve guides like candy. Also upgrade the tires to the largest size that would squeeze in.

Sorry don't have a 3rd gen but a 2nd Baja. Sometimes sleep in the back with the dog while hunting

And even the wall tent with a wood stove

But now to be honest willing and glad to pay for a cabin with no water and an outhouse during hunting season now that I am older. And wiser.... On the Northern Shore of Lake Superior grouse hunting that is normally the best you can do. Once you hit the BWCA Wilderness Area no motor vehicles are allowed. So you have to take other means of transportation. Mush!

Do you need to know, or care?
Wow, so cool to see you all here. Makes me feel so not alone. I buy what what makes me comfortable to drive, not what fits into age group. I know this Taco does, doesn't have to be an age thing, it's what fits your lifestyle, and this fits mine!

51 here. The size of the 2nd and now 3rd gen Taco is perfect for my lifestyle. Except for a brief time with a 2nd gen 4Runner, been rolling with Toyota pickups since 1988.

    None...yet!
    Yea, what's up with that?

My 2003 Tacoma (and everything I ever had) was manual... Just bought a 2016 and HAD TO HAVE THE AUTO.

Only difference I can think of is then I was 40 and now I'm 53.

And let's talk about headlights... why are they so dim now and back then they were so bright at night when in reality the lights these days are 10 times brighter???? I guess climate change has even made the darkness darker... :)
