Well, I had to make my first post sooner or later, so might as well be in this thread. I just sold my 2009 Corvettte and bought me a white 2019 TRD OR. My wife never really liked driving in the Vette since it is a bit tough to get in and out of a car that is basically sitting on the ground! Hence the Vette did not get used as much as I would like. I basically owned a 436HP grocery getter!

Anyway, I am 58 and cruising quickly towards 59. I currently own a 2007 FJ Cruiser and now a nice Taco to round out my 4WD arsenal. Looking forward to learning and sharing with everyone!

56 and counting upwards. Bought 4x4 DCSB MT two weeks ago and loving it. Goes well with 85 300ZX also MT. Get lots of looks and thumbs up in the 300ZX. Bitching Betty still works and that impresses. Tacoma has lots of technology that I'm not sure I will ever need or use but it does have a cool factor. Having a truck again is the best. Stopped by a firends house yesterday and he loaded me up with fire wood because I was there. That was great.

I will be 42 so pushing the average down. My grandmother is 93 and driving a Camry....no doubt she pushes the age up for those and mostly boomers drive Camrys these days.....

Just turned 62 today. I bought my 2020 Taco a few months ago and I am still completely satisfied.

I learned to drive on my dad’s 4spd manual 74 hilux and here it is almost 50 years later. I love some of the things others complain about, the old school pull up parking brake and the rear drum brakes. The truck has improved where it was needed and didn’t improve on the things that wasn’t broken. I remember even then that Toyota was about 5 years behind every one else in bringing out the newer features like automatic transmissions and AC. But when they did.... it worked!

This truck was not a compromise for me. I test drove a Tundra, thought about the F150 and F250. I drove full size trucks for years at work and I knew that for me a smaller truck was better.

If Toyota asked me what I would change about the Tacoma it would be this.... put in a straight six like the old land cruisers, or the 4.0 v6... a mechanical lever to shift into 4wd and a cigarette lighter and ash tray. Or maybe import the tray utility diesels that are sold in Australia and New Zealand.

I'm 61. Bought mine at 51. I did it because I HATE things breaking and the Tacoma had a reputation for reliability. I have no interest in major modifications to the drive train or suspension. I just want it to do what I bought it to do. I'll probably buy 1 more in a couple of years for the same reasons.

66 here. After 2 Toyota pre-Tacoma 4x4s, an F150 and a couple of sporty coupes, I finally got back into a Toyota pickup. 2016 Taco. My old Toyotas kicked ass and I'm glad to be back!

52 and in my first Tacoma. Previously owned an Outback (190,000 trouble free miles!), Explorer (also 150,000+ trouble free miles), Jeep Wrangler, Xterra, and Ford F150. I like reliability/easy to work on myself. Also a manual because I like shifting my own gears.

Yeah she is in good health. She is on her 5th or 6th Camry now. She gets a 4 cylinder LE and keeps it 3 years. She has a 2019 now and will be 95 if she gets another one. I should have bought her last one.....garage kept and only 11k on it after 3 years!
