I'm a CPA, but I don't deal with the IRS much (ever). There's another guy on here who has more degrees than I do (per the education threads) and looks to be a tax master.

^^^ Probably the best advice I can give, too.

Here's the guy I was thinking about. Good name, too.

I don't know him, but he might help if you PM him. If he doesn't, don't get mad at me.

Feel free to PM me, too, if you want. I can't guarantee that I'll be able to fix your problem, but I can certainly try to help.

My Aunt has been doing taxes for 46 years. She is a fountain of knowledge in this department. If you want I can give you her your info. She is in NY but does returns and the like in many states.

I will PM both the guys on this site. I talked to the lady today...she said that I was not on the "bad (red flag)" list, but really one of the few random selections. I don't have a lot of deductions, just very large ones (house, truck for work) which will be easily shown. There are some small ones like cash contributions of a couple hundred bucks and tools for work that may be a problem. Mostly I had a question about a second home that could be considered a rental property that I never claimed. Thanks for the help guys, will report back if I need more!
