Hello all, I have a 04 Tacoma 2.7l and I’m looking to remove the engine and install a low mile engine from a wrecked Tacoma. Before I do this job what can I expect? Easy, rough?? Etc. Any tips or if anyone else has done it some steps? Thank you

Hard call to make not having any idea of your aptitude at this time .

Everyone has there own system some get all the stuff from the bottom first some do the top first what every works best

The used engine is the same as yours so you are able to use your electronics(sensors) and harness??

take pictures or label all the wires to make it easy to reinstall .

You can pull the engine alone but having helpers is much better .

just what are you using to lift the engine make sure it will go high enough to clear the radiator support

support the transmission or are you removing this before the engine ??

It is always the little things fuel lines coolant lines wiring harness attachments that cause problems at least in my case

ARE cap, wade inchannel vent visors, weathertec floor mats, ranch hand grill guard, tuffy security boxes in bed, lockable tailgate handle. Still have stuff that needs to be installed and still have stuff ordered lol.
as long as your not converting anything and swapping for same motor it isnt too hard
