I get that I’ll need to cut them. Should I cut as close to the pin as I can & then grind down the pin? I’m just wanting obviously, to do it the best way without marring up the leaf. Or can I punch that pin out?

    Cut the pin head off.

For anyone who may need help doing this down the road -

    1. Cut pin head off
    2. Cut down the middle of the clip (across the pin)
    3. Hammer on the clip tops until the clip splits. If you hit it with a hammer on the side 1st & it’s got good movement, you’ve most likely cut down far enough. & I had to pry a little at one because I didn’t get the head flush.
    4. Cut off the rest of the pin.
